more pics here Things been a bit quite last couple of weeks. I've been away from the car whilst Bosco gives it a last polish and touch up.
This weekend I'll be fitting the wheels and the suspension. The car will be looking more complete then. Here are some pics of my favourite coupes.

If you hadn't already guessed from some of the photos, the 'Twist' is the golf front on my Jetta Coupe. I've never really been a fan of the Jetta front so I was always gonna have a the Golf front. I went with the R32 bumper, deleted numberplate holder and de-badged grill as well to get that mean look.

Sorry for long delay!!!!!
So things got a little hectic down the garage over the last two month, plus the windows took forever to come. Got em' now and they're in and the car is finally water tight. They fit like a glove so the template was spot on. We even managed to the get the rubber bead from the Golf to fit on there.
Got some temporary wheels on the car for now till I get the faces of my 3 piece splits back from the powder coaters.

Last night VW Sam and I modified the fuel filler neck to come into the boot. That works well too.
Lets see………… that's it really. Car is booked for a stainless system on Tuesday. We were gonna do it in house but some of the bends needed would be too radical for us without a pipe bender. Just need to trim the headliner to hide a few sins, then its all good. Car will be complete by the end of August just in time for edition 38.

So I have been have some difficulty posting up updates as I have no home computer right now and the work PC has a serious firewall.
I've found this app so it's back to business as usual.
The project is now 90% finish and it drive like a dream. Took it to the edition 38 show. Had a flat on the way up but got there in the end thanks to some great friends who brought me up a spare wheel.
