Would you suggest a good deep tissue massage before a 10k?

The day before? Or sooner to relax the muscles? I see athletes all the time getting quick rub downs right before an event, but i dont think i could get one before 8 am...

I personally don't see a need for it.

I've run in countless 10ks, 5 marathons, who knows how many 1/2s. Never once got a massage before or after a race.

If anything, I could see a deep tissue massage afterwards, but not before.
Cyber Green. It's not a color. It's a way of life.

Hell no I wouldn't get a deep tissue massage before a race. A quick rub down to loosen up, maybe, but not deep tissue. I would just carb up, get a good night's rest, and warm up properly.
