It's the beginning of the season for HPDE's, autox's and the sort up here in Michigan. I love seeing daily driver's in track mode and all out weekend track rats.

I want to see more...show them

    Per the rules

I just drove my S4 at Lime Rock in April. I still say my older BMWs were more fun on a racetrack, it's probably the weight of the S4 more than anything that keeps it from being better. But for daily driving the S4 is nearly freaking perfect, so I guess it's the typical tradeoff.

    VIR

He wouldn't let me pass him for the longest time. When we passed around oak tree he split out to the left with the point by, so i had to take him on the right.

I've driven the street car quite a bit, the racecar is a new venture for both of us. Should be interesting with a LOT less weight and quite a bit more power (450HP at the wheels). Also the thing is sprung super stiff.

I'm gonna be posting a video early next week of some in car I plan to shoot on the 'ol GoPro. So be on the lookout for that.

With street wheels and taken at C&C West Chester last weekend. I will probably be sitting out the whole track day thing this year as I want to buy several things for the car before I hit the track again (new tires [purchased] and an oil cooler [not purchased yet]), recently got engaged, and I'll be looking to buy a house. And there are also a couple of small-ish things I'd like to get for the mustang. So that leaves very little money for track day fun.

Hopefully I can make it out to 2-3 track days next year.

Same one I drive daily unfortunately/fortunately(depends on your view), wish I can afford to have a weekend toy(and a place to keep it)...

Don't mind the STX label, the wheels is what puts it there...its otherwise stock...

I will be. I am looking for a nice clean 911. Turbo's get my pants tight, but are out of my price range. Looking forward to it!

It was April 21st, and the weather was surprisingly nice, in the 70s. It was a BMW CCA HPDE with the Connecticut Valley Chapter.

Thanks! Unfortunately looks can be deceiving. The front of the car looks every bit like a car that's turned a few laps at a road course. And the wheels---the worst crap I've ever seen. The photo has nicely covers all the chips and small nicks in the bumper, as well as the cracked eurospoiler (you might be able to see it if you look real closely at the photo). Though, that is another item I want to purchase before getting back on track: A new front spoiler, but one of the versions that's longer than stock, but shorter than the euro version.

Lately it has been the Alfa. So far it has survived 3 events.

Been Autocrossing Miatas for 3 years or so, this will make it out a few times this season. When the Alfa breaks?

And I somewhat frequently end up codriving cars that are better prepped than my budget allows. No sense in posting them, though. All the NA Miatas look the same, plus or minus some stickers.

GTV6's make great track cars, even if they are a little slow compared to modern cars. Here is mine, along with my other track toy.

Oh nevermind then. I went to Lime Rock for the first event of the season and it snowed like a mother****er. That was earlier in April (maybe even March, I don't remember.)

I use my Miata for just about everything. It is my sole winter car, shares summer DD duty with my z06, and I autocross it every chance I get.
