All the best to you... Maybe, upon your return, Phaeton's will be readily available at VW dealerships (we can always dream, can't we?)![]()

As always i have to say goodbye to you guys and my beloved phaeton as im selling it and it looks like theres a buyer already interested.
i dont know where to go after my phaeton which i did a lot of work to and planned to keep forever but moving to central america for a few years to keep growing my business left me which no choice to sell it since so many things can go wrong just from having the car sit.
a very sad day indeed where i regret almost every minute of my huge loss.
its been fun spending time with you guys and hopefully i will be back in a few years to the forum. thanks for all the help the past 4 or 5 years.
heres some pics from the dealer.
theres a lot more there heres link.

Do you mind sharing where you got the grille that shows in the pictures here?
I have a 2005 Black and I am interested in replacing the grille.
thanks,
paul

is a custom grille. you buy the style you like *this one is bentley style* and you cut to fit. no one makes one for phaeton i know of. same with the undergrills but u need to cut teh slots to fit.
yes i hope they are available in USA in a couple years. maybe 2015

Hey! Quick question.
How do you have a badgeless trunk?
Thanks!

also custom made. they take out the badge and it leaves a hole. they then cover it with a metal sheet and make it flush, they then paint the trunk to match. they left the locking mechanics to be used onlly by pressing on the trunk button on the key or the switch at the door. it very sweet

Best of luck with the sale.
Pray tell, where in Central America are you moving to?

sale finalized, it was quick since i wasnt trying to make money on it. i sold it very cheap indeed, less than book value and thats without all the things and work done plus full warranty till 112k and 4 years left on it with no deductiblebut i cant keep the car sitting. i moved to honduras san pedro sula to be exactly for business and im not happy to say that i went from NYC to boston to MIami and now im in san pedro sula most dangerous city in the world when it comes to murder % per capita. not even kidding look it up, i know im nuts
theres armed security guards here everywhere, even corner convinience stores have guys with shotguns, its like a must here. theres not a business without one.
hopefully the phaeton comes here sooner than teh usa

Well you be careful and keep your head up. Gotta keep your mind clear and head on a swivel in a place like that.

SPS... Heh. Look, if you keep a low profile, move into a good neighborhood, keep to yourself, not go to desolate areas in the countryside, and try to be home after sunset, you'll be quite alright.
Beware of lawyers, though.
Best of luck!
