Sorry, not what this thread is for.

Best bet is to check out the 5x112 classifieds, and the threads here for some examples and then report back with a set you like and we'll go from there.

Hey guys I just got new wheels 18x7.5 et51 all the way around. I have a b5 1.8t with stock suspension and unrolled fenders. They came with 235/45 on them but I would like them to be flush all the way around and when I lower the car just be able to stretch some 195 on them. Need spacer and lug size recommendations, would love to get it all before h20

All the info you need is in this thread... please read the first post and then compare your wheels with someones who's specs leave the wheels where you want them. Space accordingly.

Hey I'm looking into buying a staggered set of rims Wth the fronts being 20x8.5 et 25 and rears being 20x10 et 30. I'm on stock suspension and was wondering how to make these work? Thanks.

Lower the car first. It will look ridiculous with 20" wheels and stock height. 20's are going to be really hard to pull off at all....

But, you'll still poke out the rear by 8mm with at ET 30 on the rear. And you might rub on the inside too. Fronts are fine.

So rolling the fenders would be a good idea? Any suggestions on lowering kits? Thanks

If you are set on those: stretched tires, rolled fenders, and a stiff rear setup is needed. That means a good fully adjustable (dampening and height) coilover.

Sorry, one last question, what size of tires do I need if I plan on stretching them onto that setup?

5 spoke rims from the b6 passat

    They're 17x7.5 with 47ET
    235/45/17
    Lowered 1.5-2inches

Will they be inside too much?

They should be fine as is - but you might want a spacer to flush them out - 20-30mm on the front, even more on the rear.

Did you have to roll your fenders to fit that aggressive of a setup?

I need help with fitment guys!!! I dont know what to do. I have a 2004 passat sedan lowered on Eibach sport springs. I have 18x8 et44 BBS CK's. I have 5mm and 15mm spacers. I test fit the wheels on with a scrap 235/55 18 with both the 15mm and the 5mm in the front. Both seem to poke out a good bit. Heres where I am lost, With it lowered and these big of wheels, they look like they are gonna scrap the fender bigtime even if I go over a small speedbump or something. I am thinking my wheels are just too big for the car, but then I see guys running 19's on passats. So how the @#$@ do you do it without scraping the tire on the car?!?!

    Thanks!

235/55 is WAY too much sidewall.... I'd run a 215/35 or similar.... that's the problem....

Thats what I plan to run on them actually 215/35 18's. Do you know the measure of difference between sidewalls? Wouldn't running a smaller tire still be prone to rubbing or scrapping?

Here is what it looks like with the 15mm spacers in the front. The guy I bought the spacers from said they were 10mm but they seem to be 15mm after I measured them.

What are you using spaces? Bolt them on without first. If you don't clear the suspension, THEN worry about spacing.

My 8.5" ET 25 wheels were pretty much flush. If you bolt an 8" ET 44 wheel on, you'll be 25mm inside the fender. If you need to clear a little, you can add a spacer.

Can you confirm that they are ET 44? With a 15mm spacer, you should be at ET 29, which should still put you inside the fender.... something isn't adding up.

Check the wheel for all their markings and report back.

Yes et is 44. Its stamped on the wheel. I tried it without any spacers and it just hit the control arm. I tried the 5mm then and it seems a little tight still. They seemed flush without any spacers... and the 5mmwhole even had a little poke. I'm lost. I don't know what is wrong or what's going on.

Try measuring the offset manually to be sure.
    Sure they are 8" wide?

lay the wheel on it's face (on cardboard or something that won't scratch the face)
take a straight edge and lay it across the entire wheel/tire
measure from the ground to the straight edge
that is your total wheel width (8" wheel will measure around 9") A
then, measure from the back of the hub to that same straight edge B
    B - (A/2) = your wheel offset

    Sure.
Can you try mounting one without a wheel to the front, with the 5 mm spacer and take profile shots?

My 8.5's were ET 25 and fit perfect. Had 215/35's on them. Pics are in the first page of this thread.

So with 215/35's 8.5's will fit, or will I need spacers?

If you wanted my exact fitment - you'd need 20mm spacers on the front. I think you might run into rubbing the suspension without. It would be close.
