Wondering if anyone installed their own Sigma Six shifter on their R. Last night when I was installing my I came upon a part which was left behind from the OEM shifter. On the front to back cable there is a white plastic disc that I couldn't pull off or push up. I left it on and installed the shifter anyway. The shifter appears to be working fine, because I was driving the car all day today without any problems. Did anyone cut the white plastic disc off?

The disc is actually the end of a missing shifter cable boot, if it's like it is in my photo. Not sure why it's not there. Thought it was an omission on my car but if others are missing it too, who knows.

On my JSW it's definitely present.

Sorry the photo sucks, taken with an iPhone as an afterthought.
