Cracked my oil pan, in the rain, sitting in a parking lot waiting 4 hours for AAA to get here. Lowered cars have any trouble getting on a flat bed? Need to remove front bumper? I'm only 23.5 ftg.

Plus they can't tow lowered cars. If I had a match I'd throw it in the puddle of oil I'm sitting in.

I notice you are local. Depending on where you are ask for Kings Towing through AAA. They are based in Attleboro and towed my MkIII laying lip (that was a year ago though).

The guy told me they wont tow a modified car because if anything goes wrong with the car their insurance doesn't cover it. Give that a shot if the AAA guy strands you

Made it home with a $15 bill for the tow luckily I had 2x4s and took no damage to my lip or front bumper. Ordered the hybrid pan from ECS and thinking about some BFI motor mount spacers. Any suggestions on the motor mount spacers would be great.

Just out of curiosity, why'd they charge you? For being lowered?

BTW, sucks about the oil pan

With AAA the first 3 miles are free Then after those first 3 miles every mile costs $3. Luckily I wasn't too far away.

Wow that would have been much better haha. The guy was pretty cool about everything though, so I can't complain. Plus $15 is nothing compared to what I'm gonna have to spend.

That's because it takes you that many miles to get to anything of interest in those states

I'm at abou 24-24.5 ftg and when I hit my oil pan they sent me a regular tow truck.
Used 2x4s plus a jack and what not got it up and my exhaust had just inches from the ground.

Needless to say after work when I went to the mechanics the lower part of my exhaust tips were flattened
Oh and the steep entrance to the shop my car teeter-tottered a bit

Oh the life of being low.

Here is the story about AAA towing. It all depends who the operator behind the tow truck (sub-contracted). The knowledgeable one will make it work and the idiots are the one whining and complaining. I had my front bumper removed before the tow truck arrive and when he saw my car lowered I hear the complaining and whining. Eventually with my help we were able to tow the Jetta. To make this story short if they stay longer to make a tow they don't make any$$$ since several people are waiting for a tow in a given time. Can someone explain to me why they won't tow a vehicle from the rear on a flat bed?

Depends what type of membership the basic tow is free up to 100miles on AAA.
I have the upgraded version to 200 miles free towing through AAA.
