225 is for an 8" wheel..why would you put an oversized tyre on?
185 is for a 6" wheel

I was given a set of toyos in this size, was wanting to pair them with some 195/45/14 in the front. Will these fit?

search for a tire size calculator online, compare to stock and see what the diameter is.

you can fit them on a 7" wide wheel no problem... you'll get a curved sidewall, but that's not a big deal. only consideration would be the wheel's offset and making sure that the rubber on the inside clears the suspension.
14x8's (i've found) area a pretty difficult sized wheel to find, i was looking for a decent set for my mk2 solo2 car for a few months and nothing turned up.Best,
