I still don't like how a x.99 = x-second car. Just seems like a dick swinging contest when you say stuff like "Oh, I've got a 12 second car. It ran a 12.95."
Also, that Mustang officially needs a parachute now.

Don't really classify 8.99 as a 8 sec car... Reaction time decides whether 8.99 or 9.00

A list of mods, all cars ever owned and something cribbed from a book, song and/or movie were all just here. Sorry you missed out on my unique, snowflake-like individuality.

I love this show
"pretty much stock, yeah?"
****ing hell that thing goes fast.
that being said, I wish they were REQUIRED to tell the truth TWICE when asked and lie ONCE... and the judges need to be more specific with their questions... though I'm sure they'd all ask "how much nitrous" and "How many stages" and "what rear end" or "what width rear tires" and "how much does it weigh"
that would make it a bit more entertaining. Half the guys come in there and say "just a cam"

Lately I have been testing "tip-in events". Just the tip-in. Just to see how it feels. Response time is typically on the order of 2-3 seconds. Sometimes the injection timing is a little off...

Some people don't understand how fast an 8 or even 9 second car is. There is a lot more suspension, chassis, and drive train tuning than you realize. Its not like you can take a bone stock mustang, bolt on some parts and run 8's all day.![]()
And no it does not take a lot of money to bracket race, just a dialed in car and some skill/practice. It only takes a lot of money to run heads up classes or if you want to go really fast.
EDIT: I LOVE that track![]()
