Anyone able to remove their throttle body WITHOUT having to remove the entire intake manifold? It seemed like a real bitch, so i just removed the whole manifold and then took off the TB when i scrubbed down the intake valves.

I could see how it would be easy if it were an awd audi with the engine mounted longitudinally, but are there any tricks to get the TB off the GTIs? I don't want to have to take the manifold off again if i don't have to.

    Engineers do it better.

Not to thread jack - but do you have a walkthrough / instructions on removing manifold to clean intake valves?
