I thought bible-thumpers were annoying.. These vortex "rule-book-thumpers" are even more annoying. Stop clicking on this thread... simple...
2002.5 Jetta 1.8T - TOTALED (dodging deer)
2002.5 24v GTI - TOTALED (rear-ended by a Jeep)
1992 Corrado SLC - Daily Driven (when it's not broken)
2012 Golf R - Daily Driven (when Corrado's broken)
I think his setup is the one with the enhanced turbo, exhaust, head gasket, intercooler, HPFP, injectors, intake, etc. costing 19000 euro installed. It certainly keeps up with some high powered cars.
Speedo races are fun, but they give about as much information as dyno or exhaust sound videos. A single drag or rolling race video would do better than a hundred of those. I'm complaining because I have been racing almost every night since I came back from Germany, and I know there are a bunch of R20s that are faster but haven't done a single race on camera.
Golf R HGP (camera) 420hp
Audi R8 V10 PP-Performance 600hp
The owner of the Audi did not use launch control on purpose. With LC he does 1/4 mile in 11.8 @ 195 kph (regular road, regular tyres), and a standing mile in 29.6 @ 280 kph. His 100-200 is low 8s, high 7s I believe. This is stage 2 GT-R (R35) and 911 Turbo (997) territory. My average 100-200 is low 9s.
My guess is, the golf would need another 80 to 100 HP to keep up with this R8 to 300+.

TEFF, have you run a 1/4 mile? If so, time. You have serious power, and I would love to know
if anyone put down a faster 1/4 mile time than the GIAC tuned R20.
I don't know much about the R20 or all that is done on the strip, here or in other countries, than what is mega posted.
