    Timing could be better as my car is in for an oil change, brake flush and "pre-track inspection" ... Seems my mechanic came a cross a little surprise



    After only 30,000 kms (18,600 mi), it seems the right rear shock is on its way out (no sounds or degradation in ride yet). The local dealership shop mgr has approved replacement after seeing the pic but it will be a race to see if the parts can get here and be installed in time for next weekend's track event ...

    I'm not great when it comes to hurry up and wait !

    Don't think so and where would the metal particles be from ? Haven't seen the car or mechanic in person yet but will get the full lowdown shortly ...

    I panicked...thinking I saw metal particles from inside the Mag Ride dripping down the outside of the shock!!!

    They actually didn't even see the car ... I emailed a pic to the SA which she showed to the shop mgr. He confirmed "the shock was pooched" and authorized ordering the parts in advance of the appointment. Fingers crossed ...
