sup, so i bought some smoked lights for the mk3 and when i took the stock ones off i realized the lights dont exactly line up i dunno if i got some defected ones or if its goin to take some modification here is what i have http://www.ecstuning.com/Volkswagen-...ator/ES248211/ now looking at the fog light side posts where the bolts would go the stocks are opposite than the new ones " long top & short bottom" now hopefully that made some kinda sense, if you have these installed on your mk3 can you please help or point me in the right direction. thanks

    thanks in advance

    The ad states

Requires the use of European spec front bumper OR requires some modification to secure these in a USA spec bumper

i understand the modification part but not sure what to exactly modify i'd rather do it somewhat part of right than just start hackin away, so they would sit securely and still work properly want to try to get some help before i end up sellin em and buying a shaved bumper thanks for your op. tho cdub

for the fog lights, you'll need to make a lil extension bracket for the nounting tab. The turn signals, you'll have to trim out some of the bumper, to get them to slide into place. I actually have mine double side taped in place, since the tab that should hold it in wasnt cutting it.

i had to trim my old mk3 bumper to fit the smoked as well. the best thing to do is just take them and place them in the bumper slots, see what needs to be trimmed take a little bit off each time and continue to test fit, cut, test fit, cut continue. this will give you the best fitment.
