So, realistically, with your job and assumed trajectory through your life (i.e. how things look now), what is the one car/vehicle you have to own before you die? Sure, if I won some $200m lotto I'd buy everything (including Katy Perry), and so would everyone else, but let's pretend you're not going to pick the right numbers or inherit an oil field in your life. What would you buy that is attainable?
For me it is a '60s Corvette, anywhere from 1963-69, I love them. Ideally I'd like a '63 Z06 or a '67 L88, but midyears cost a nut and a leg anyway, and those two would be worth the wrath of the pharaohs. I love the early Mako Shark C3s as well, and a '69 would be key, since I'd get the actual slot fender vents and would get to skip a lot of the initial-build problems from 1968. In either case I'd try both a small and big block, something about a 427 makes me hot but I know a built small block can easily make too much power, and it'd preserve handling. A midyear I'd keep mint, but I could easily restomod a C3 as long as it was stealthy.
Are there 100 other cars I lust for? Sure. Will I ever get any of them if I can't even focus on just one? NopeSo TCL, what is the one car you WILL get (not can, not if) in your life?
