Thread: Schroth Rallye 4 harness install

  1. 05-11-2012 04:01 AM #1
Just got a new sparco seat along with the Rallye 4 harness. What would be the best way to install these? I also have the rallye 4s in my a3 but it seems the lap bolts the a3 has the a1 does not. I found these pictures for the rear belt but does anyone have any suggestions for the lap bolts? and help is greatly appreciated

Oh man, you really need to mind belt angles with harness installs and the ones in that pic look all wrong.

Call HMS Motorsports and get their counsel.

Here are a couple of pics

Without a harness bar across the back of the seat at the needed 10-20* angle below the shoulder, the way they are mounted in the the pic you posted will compress your spine in any impact.

Just to echo the above, install a harness bar. Any decent fab shop should be able to make one for a few hundred bucks. Do not mount the harness to the floor and Do not mount them at a steeper angle than shown in the diagram above

Where would I out the lap belt? Attatched to the seat? There is no bolt on the chassis to strap it down. Any help would be great thanks!

Use the factory seat belt bolt or weld in a new one. Never mount belts to the seat!
