hey guys just got my coils. i got racelands, and was looking to maybe get a stiffer setup. and heard you can get stiffer helper springs. so does anyone know where you can just get stiffer helper springs? or do you just have to go to a swap meet and get them there? b/c i have heard that too.

helper springs do absolutely nothing with ride quality....all they do is keep the spring and top hat against the top mount when the suspension is in a fully relaxed position..i.e. on a lift. Get stiffer shocks/struts if you want a firmer ride.

Wow, you got the crappiest coilovers on earth, and are now wanting something stiffer?

Sorry to be harsh, but you should have done your homework before buying them. New coilovers are pretty much your only option, there isn't a way to modify your current setup to be 'stiffer'.

im sorry if you are being harsh, but i did do research, and ive talked to plenty of people. i understand these arent the best coils. but yea you get what you pay for. when i have more money for better coils i will get them. for now these are better then my stock setup and stiffer. so dont go after me like im some guy with a honda putting a soda can on his exhaust to make it louder.

if you are only gonna say **** after i have something, then dont post it. or at least be creative with it. i like creative criticism, and discussing ideas. like say, my turbo. it must be going bad, b/c i dont get as much boost, and its very random, and i dont get the same power i used to out of it, not to mention if too much oil is in my car, when boosting i spit viscous clouds of white smoke out of my tail pipe.

figure that one out, or just say i have a ****ty car and dont post. but hence this is why we are here b/c we like our vw's. so either be creative or..... well, there is no or thanks

Just toss them on then - maybe they'll be fine? Besides, selling them at a loss to buy something better isn't really going to help you now, but it's really the only option...
