You said there is no definition of what a sportscar is. You were wrong. You may not like the definition but that is it. As I said earlier the term is used so commonly now that people have lost its true meaning. You are included in that lot. Congrats.
You act as a child and you speak as a child, so pardon me for questioning your level of maturity. How old are you really? You in high school, college? Because that is how you come across.
Lets be clear. I have not been banned because I have never done anything to warrant banning. I don't flame. I don't carry a grudge. I don't attack other posters. And I don't call for someone's banning just because they are not as enthusiastic about something as I am. I can't say that same for you.
You say I have 0 car knowledge, but I've owned roughly more than 20 cars. Some German, some Japanese, some American. They've ranged from old school American muscle cars, to German luxury, to high powered turbo Japanese rockets, to new school American muscle, to American luxury, to Japanese luxury, to simple commuter boxes. I've driven competitively on a track more than a few times. I've driven military grade trucks and even the lowly forklift. There are very few brands I don't have some level of knowledge or firsthand experience with.
On the mechanical side I've yanked transmissions, pulled engines, swapped heads, put in more aggressive cams, put in new turbo plumbing, and much much more. My mechanical knowledge is very sound.
I also have a fair amount of secret knowledge. For instance I knew about the Aventador and latest Lambo SUV because I have contacts within Lambo and I get alerted to unveilings. I also have contacts for Roush and Chrysler/Dodge. But I don't share this information for obvious reasons. I knew how good Hyundai/Kia would become due to contacts I had there on the manufacturing side. That I did share here because it was a general thing and would not harm those brands. TCL laughed at the notion, yet look around today at those newly appreciating those brands.
So when you claim I have 0 car knowledge you may as well claim the sky is red with yellow poka-dots.
Now to the FRS/BRZ, you keep claiming I hate these cars. Well you obviously can't read too well because I've said NUMEROUS times that
the BRZ is on my short list. And it's been said across NUMEROUS threads. At worst I've said it has Miata levels of performance, maybe sitting between that and the RX-8. But here's the thing, I love the Miata and the RX-8 and I've said as much SEVERAL times throughout my time with TCL. You may consider that comparison a knock against the FRS/BRZ, but it is not.
Here's the thing, you are so fanatical about this car that you assume anyone to not have your level of excitement to be a hater. Some of us are simply
pragmatic. NO the FRS/BRZ will not be blisteringly fast. It will be quick, like a Miata, but that is it. That is the reality. It you want fast you'll have to pick a different car or wait and hope that a STi model comes out that is worthy of being called STi.
To your last paragraph, you and RogueTDI are constantly belittling members within your posts and engaging in name calling, along with other juvenile antics. If anyone lack respect around here it is you two. Your behavior usually just ruins what ever point you were seeking to make and you lose credibility as a result. Here's some advice, if you want to convince someone, don't insult them in the process. You may actually gain some allies here.
One last thing, I'm not here to gain anyone's respect. Such concerns are a matter of the ego and I don't engage in that. It goes against right mindfulness. I don't expect you to get the reference. But those who know, know what I'm saying. I'm here to discuss cars and such, and to laugh at overly emotive opinions and postings. Yours don't disappoint btw.
