So tomorrow, I'm going down to the Post Office to pick up my registered mail that contains my LED interior lights. I haven't seen anything of them on here so I will post pics as well as a DIY. I've been getting a lot of help here lately, and I like to give back when I can, so I will also be adding many DIYs in this thread that include:
-Driver's side cubby light, on when open off when closed
    -LED interior light kit install
    -Pics of my trunk light
    -LED footwell lights
-Building of the inner LED rings
-I'll go a little more in-detail on the S6 LED DRLs
-And last but not least, I will be building a custom sub box for the little compartments in the trunk, I'll have a DIY for that as well.

Most are simple and could probably be figured out without any help, but I figured if I can help one or two guys or gals out there, it'd be worth my time. I haven't seen any of the above mods in DIY form the way I did them, which is why there may be some things up there that you have seen before. Thanks to all the guys who have helped me since the start

This is going to be for my interior LED lights, and let me say, I love these things!!! Worth every penny!

    Here's what you get:

Removing the front lights-start by taking a small flat head screw driver and pry open the panel with the holes in it for a microphone and unscrew the two screws:

    With screws removed:

This is of the top side of the light panel that was unscrewed above. These metal pieces are the contacts that power the lights. For me (idk if it will be different by car or not), looking down with the lights in the front as if it were in the car, the + is on the right side of the hole and - is on the left. I put the circle lights that came in the kit into the hole and soldered an wire to it to connect it to the terminal. Bear in mind, these may be plug and play for some but not for me:

    And another angle:

I also added a small amount of hot glue to the light to hold it up in place and off the lens of the light (not pictured).

Here it is with the - wire soldered on, the + wire taped over, and the - wire crossed over to the - terminal:

This is it in with the light on in the daytime:

Repeat the steps above and you get this:

On the back LED "bar," you have these little plug in's:

Removing the trim piece is easy, so I didn't take pictures of the removal of it, it just pops off and the plugs just go right in place of the old bulbs. I removed the clear lens after removal of the cover piece to install the bar of LEDs. I glued it down to it, just like the front ones, would be loose and resting on the lens.

Installed and off during the day:

    On during the day:

This was taken about an hour ago (11 p.m. here), these things are amazing!!!

They are brighter than they look. A few more:

This one shows how well lit the back seat is:

    And the dash:

All daytime pics were with flash, night ones were without.

Here is the link to what I have, I actually don't know where the little square LED piece goes, I assume it's for a better optioned car (mine's the Value Edition) or a newer year.

Hope you guys liked the DIY, I hadn't seen pics of these installed so I figured I'd post some. Let me know what you think! Feel free to subscribe to the thread, I'll be adding more mods over time. I guess this may end up turning into a build thread...

Yeah...doesn't bother me though. There's a picture of them off during the day up there somewhere.

EDIT: I have the lights backwards, the long board should go up front with the three individual lights in the back, works either way though.

Yep. Sending pics to the company today. I don't need those three, the light is bright enough, but I want it symmetrical...I may unsolder the matching three on the other side if they won't send another lol...OCD

    Looks nice and bright.
I have the more traditional ones and they light up dim even when off. How do yours look when off, since there are quite a few of those.

Mine do that too, but I don't mind it. "Ambient" lighting lol. I can take some pics, but it's really not a distraction at all, I even like it. They are sweet!! So bright

I have been watching this exact kit on eBay for the past few weeks and wondering if they were any good. Thanks for the DIY and review... Very helpful.

PS. I'm going to look and see if they make a kit for the footwell lighting as well as for the rear hatch (I have a wagon).

Sure thing, I've been wanting them for a while and couldn't find a diy or even pics here. I recommend them 100%. Literally night and day from stock.

Yeah I do. I contacted the company, working on getting a new one. They don't affect brightness at all, but I hate things being un-symmetrical...

Thanks, i already have footwell lights and rears as well. Really simple, just tap into the cigarette lighter (i went to the fuse using a fuse tap.) and run power from that. I suppose if you want I could make one just for you Worst case scenario, you blow a fuse.

To continue the thread, here's some work I've been doing on my radio setup.

Cutting the plastic behind the radio (formerly 12V outlet and coin holder):

Holding it in place, after plastic was removed:

I believe this is just sitting in there:

And with the start of my trim:

Thank you for the advice that shouldn't be too hard (i hope so) just wondering I'd I should change the fuse for a bigger one for those times when im charging the ipad and if all the lights came in at the same time... althought the leds may not drawn that much voltage...

I put two stripes on the trunk and I went thru two fuses of the interior lights before done.

You should be fine, I am and I charge my phone and iPad (almost always is one or the other plugged in) and I have no problems. You can only tap into the cigarette lighter fuse w/ a fuse tap if you add a switch because the outlet is on regardless of whether or not the car is. If you want them just on with the headlights, tap into the power outlet LIGHT. Take apart the pieces by the outlet, find thee wires for the light for your coin compartment, and tap those. That's what I did for my ambient lights. Just make sure you tape up everything really well to prevent a short. Also, disconnect the battery when unplugging anything or stripping factory wires.
