Flip them off![]()

Why is is that whenever I see somebody in a MKIV or MKVI GTI or R32 and give them a fellow VW wave, they just stick their nose up in the air? Seriously, I love VWs and own two of them, including a MKIV VR6. Although my car may not be slammed with stretched tires, I would hope that there could be some kind of brotherhood between VW owners instead of this Ball-Flexing Contest that is always going on.
Not everybody can afford an R32 or have their daddy buy them a brand new GTI with a nice set of sneakers to go with it. There are tons of people out there that have to start from nowhere, and in my opinion, we should all support each other.
I dont have any problem at all with being an ass to somebody in a Civic, but come on. Even if your car has an APR kit installed, there is no reason for you to be a dick about it. I wish that I could go out and wave to someone in a VW who actually loves VWs, regardless of whether or not my car fits the dub stereotype.
So to you, d-bag in the yellow MKIV GTI at McDonalds, firstly my VR6 would smoke your a$$. Secondly, wearing a hat that matches the color of your car does not make you king of the Golfs.

have you ever stopped to think maybe you are the d-bag and that is why they don't want to wave to you?
#5
I hope you weren't expecting him too!!
Only a few a far between will do the nod/wave/whatever to fellow Dubberz.
just do your thing and if they do..., if not............you win!

If I was cruzin and saw another dub wave to me, stock or not, I'd wave back, half for the vw brotherhood, and half just being nice and returning a wave. If you wave to them and they don't wave back (intentionally), I'd pull 4 of those fingers back. Let em know whats up.

Yes. It was. And not because of one person, but because of several instances where this very thing happened. honda-VW rivalries are fine in my opinion.
No, actually. I always give a friendly wave to anybody in a VW.

I kind of know what you mean unknowable (lol). I'm in college and a lot of kids around here have MKVI, MKV, MKIV GTIs and R32s. Some are actually really dope. Lots of the slammed look and what not. I'm not big into the whole slammed, airbag thing, but I respect the work they put in to make a cool custom Dub. But a lot of times when I approach somone to compliment their Vdub they get really smuggish or what not. I shrug it off, cause I mean it's w/e but it always confused me why they would turn their noses up like that, whether I owned a Dub or not. Pretty sad honestly. But I mean everyone wants to play Chief I guess.

I wave to people that I pass or get passed by, "dub",slammed or whatever. Got to say hey to the fellow vw owners![]()

You guys really do this, and take it personally if you don't get one back? Really?
On my way to work today I passed about 4 Jettas and one Passat. All driven by middle aged people, who would have wondered WTF I was doing if I waved at them...

Wave and if they don't wave back shrug it off as they dint see you were busy driving or just don't care. Id be more concerned about the traffing slowing down in front of you, kid stepping out, animal running. Etc...
