    Bump.

I use those NASCAR style nets to keep squirrels out but the bugs still get in.

    Dreamin'.

Yep, you tend to do that when you sleep in your car. The bugs must be keepin' him awake

Funny. When we had our Ford LTD wagon back in the daytime father had a net, a literal net that went over the grill and we used it on our trips from OH to CT and back. Amazing how many bugs that thing racked up.

You can get something that is called "privacy shades", basically a mesh inserts for your rear windows. They would probably be quite effective at keeping all bugs out, but that is not their primary purpose.

Or just drive with the windows closed. Keeps the bugs out. Also pollen, dust and other nasty stuff.

    LMAO.

the key is to clean the suckers off every day, or at the end of the drive/ when you gas up.

    Get a quality window cleaner:

    this stuff is amazing

I even use it to get bird crap and bugs off the paint, doesn't hurt any finishes and it'll dissolve most road crap in a hurry. Way better IMO than bug and tar formulas that leave a film or are made with super nasty chemicals.

In the OP's defence, the bugs are pretty thick in SW Ontario this spring.

"When you bug out, you usually have a reason for the action"

I think the only solution is to stretch the screen over and around the rubber window moulding, then re-install it. So it will be far away enough from the window and nice and taught.

    You do it now.

Why stop at window screen? Why not just get a screen door?

Someone in the aluminum door industry needs to fab up some screen doors with some wood trim for my ride... with them push-tab-inward glass that slides down. Yeahhh.
