Thread: signal stalks

  1. 05-12-2012 07:18 PM #1
I have a 1990 airbag and cruise control equipped cabbie. The signal stalk is broken, snapped clean off. I have a non-cruise control stalk set from my brother-in-laws old cabbie that works perfectly. Will the non-cruise set fit? My cruise control is broken so that is of no concern, I am just trying to get the signals/hi/low selector working again.

    Thanks guys and gals

it should. BE WARNED THAT YOU DO NOT TEST IT WITHOUT THE AIR BAG CONNECTED, otherwise you will have your airbag lights come back on......
Grounds, Grounds, Grounds Replace them things.
Divorces, Great Coffee, and Electrics, all start with GOOD Grounds.

    Where are my grounds ?

It will work fine. When you pull your old one out, compare the connectors to the replacement. you will see tab on the face for the horn, you may need to remove it so the pin doesn't interfer with the clock spring, I don't recall if it does. You don't need the pin as airbags have a seperate wire for the horn.
Sent from my Droid using an escape pod to Tattoine.
