Thread: Who has the Blue widebody turbo VR6 in Portland?

  1. 05-13-2012 01:05 AM #1
I had the honor of spending some time next to a gorgeous blue Mk4 turbo VR6 with a proper widebody today on Airport Way in Portland, and I was wondering of the owner was on this site.

If you see this, thanks again for the run, that car was beautiful and wickedly fast!

    You sure it wasn't a mk3?
Do it right or do it twice.

Bags and wheels don't make show cars. Ingenuity and originality are lacking in the scene.

I am not sure actually. It was a Golf!

It looked a lot like that, but I thought the kit was a little different. I could be wrong though! Is that car a member here?

I really want someone to make a copy of that body kit for me.....Because I doubt I will ever get one of the three in existence.

The koenigsider kit is a replica of the A59 kit. At least the widebody portion of it.

What kind of hood is that? And is there any like that made for mk3 jettas? It's really unique!

Nope, I've just talked to Joey at Double J who had been doing some work on the car. We discussed some plans the owner had, but I won't say since I don't know if he wants it to be a secret or not. I will say that its going to blow some minds if it does come to fruition.

I'm not sure who he is. Joey said he wasn't really in the "scene" when he bought the car. Hopefully he brings the car out to events in the area. Its a beautiful car.

Yes, this car just left the shop. Working on the car was a blast. It's very unique and we are lucky to have it in the PNW. Hope to see this car at GTGs and car shows.
