Wondering what a reasonable charge is? Should have known better than to start boasting we're still on the factory fitted one after seven years

A little over twelve volts is ideal.

BTW Hobbyking charger works a treat on the car battery too

Just replaced the Skoda battery after 3.5 years with a 66din Marshall battery for $210 delivered/ fitted.

By the way, the battery guy reckons part of the reason the battery didn't last long was because the car remains unlocked while it is parked in the garage, meaning it "is basically on stand-by" and using charge. Sound like he was having a lend of my partner?

Sounds like he's having a lend of himself!

A fun experiment - put a multi meter across the battery with the car unlocked, then lock it and observe

Did the same although Vic pricing was $230.00? The ****ing endless circle of being on hold, back to reception, on hold, back to reception killed any idea I would ask the dealer for a price.

Plus a guy comes, replaces my battery, takes the old one and leaves and I don't even have to put my cup of coffee down
