I scored a steering wheel from a new JSW (I think) from work. The wheel is PERFECT. I am not sure why someone at work replaced it, and I don't really care.

Does anyone have any ideas on what I can replace the airbag with? Do companies make an insert? It will be going in my 1988 Cabriolet, so there is no need for an airbag, just a horn. Oh and something that will prevent me from smashing my face if needed.

    Options?

Any thoughts I post are my own. I am not speculating on any repair VWoA is making, has made, or will make.

No one makes anything like that. You could find an airbag and just not hook it up. Would be good for resale :S

Yeah, that is what I was afraid of. Nothing like scoring a part for free, then having to spend a bunch of cash to make it work.. Thanks for the advise..
