are you sure this isn't YOUR CAR?

Saw this and I think that it's pretty cool. Add some SVT bits and you got a winner !

SVT Wagon you say? This guy is actually from Ohio, it's a full cosworth built engine too.
If that CL wagon were closer I'd seriously snatch it up. I'd love one of those in a 5spd.

I spy....factory leather, factory power moonroof, and a manual.
Now for the question that is on everyone's mind, since this is NY: Is this a 2.3L PZEV?

It's just such an odd duck. Focus wagons are somewhat unusual, and the ones you see are hubcapped, auto trans rental specials. This is a very rare specification.
I still think it might be a PZEV too; that would make it really fun.

That's pretty much my old car right there down to the color except for the leather and sunroof! If there ever was a truly a love/hate relationship in my life this was it. Great car with horrible reliability. Too bad I had to dump it because otherwise it's the kind of automotive swiss army knife you don't mind keeping for a long time.

If its for sale in a few weeks, I may be tempted to pick this up.

One of the people I dislike most in the world drives a MT Focus wagon... Sorry had to share haha.

I have been looking at getting a Focus Wagon to replace the Scion. Sadly though I am looking to get an auto.

I would totally rock that, S/C it, coil overs, and Super turismos.

Did anyone else notice the "custom" bodywork on that hatch? I bet replacement hatches aren't too common.
I'd still buy it for the price and just beat the dent out.![]()

The rear windows on these things are insanely expensive, fyi.

ZTW wagon with a manual..... If I was able I would pick it up. IIRC any wagon with a manual trans was / is rare.
Why yes; that she tropper has sideburns...

Someone spoke to him, and it has been sold for days now. Not surprised, it was priced to move.

But what about when you're just sitting out in the driveway, listening to the radio or otherwise chilling out just being in your car. And don't say you don't do it, everybody here does.

SVT suspension won't fit the rear of the wagon, so the simple/cheap SVT suspension swap is not an option on this body style.

I looked for a MT-5 wagon for MONTHS before finally settling on a manual ZX3 which, apart from wear and tear items, has been rock solid for the 50k miles past my purchase at ~80k. These cars define crap shoot and in hindsight, I couldn't be happier than I didn't take my chances on a wagon.
#33
my neighbour across the street had the exact same one, but with some aftermarket headlights. Another person I know has a black one. I guess ZTWs sold well up here in Canada.

I'd definitely drive that. And at that price, I'd be willing to drive it with the dented hatch for awhile so I could search for a new one.
You're pretty spot on about the rust. My sister's '01 Focus Wagon has reached this point. The rocker panels from the B-Pillars back and rear suspension cross-member are completely rusted through. At this point, I think we'll be replacing and junking the car, which is a shame because it runs great.
Random fact, these cars have a telescoping steering column, which really took me by surprise when we bought my sister's SE wagon. They have great steering response and the wheel is really well designed and a good diameter. Yeah, the interior may not be the best, but it's certainly no penalty box either.

I sold mine because at 88K, the doors were JUSt starting to show rust at the inner seams. It was really disappointing, because it had literally been trouble free up to that point. It was in the midst of $4.00 a gallon gas, and the car was fetching a ridiculous amount of money, so I decided to cash in and go down to my 2500 Suburban.
At the time, it was a great move. But I won't lie, I always look at a clean ZX3 and cry a little inside. Such a rewarding car to drive...it was genuinely a driver's car.
