Am I the only one who sees a lot of Focus wagons?

I've had my 2000 ZX3 since new and I've loved every minute of it. Mine has the benefit of an all black interior and I never use shiny products like armor all on the plastics. I've always thought the interior was a nice place to be, the switchgear has a nice feel to it and everything's held up much better than expected. Its always felt slightly European to me.

I would recommend a Focus to anyone who wants a great handling, moddable, cheap car and is capable of simple maintenance.

It's just such an odd duck. Focus wagons are somewhat unusual, and the ones you see are hubcapped, auto trans rental specials. This is a very rare specification.

I still think it might be a PZEV too; that would make it really fun.

I almost ditched mine during the same period after someone left a note under my windshield wiper wanting to buy it...in a college town in the middle of nowhere

There is a manual one for sale near my, only reason I noticed was the "new Clutch" written on the windshield

Had an auto ZTS while in school, it was a fun driveable car, especially with the SVT brake swap I did...I always kick around trying to find a cheap PZEV ZX5 or ZX4 ST, the ST is a hoot to drive

Actually the interior isn't all that bad. There are 2 kinds of cheap interiors out there : the kind that tries to pass off as something upscale but isn't and will creak and rattle from everywhere and then there is the kind that makes no apologies for being what it is but is solid and can take a decade of abuse and neglect from your ADHD kids and be no worse for it. The Focus is in the latter category.
