Mothers day BBQ Announcement went well. We put this shirt on Daniel (now 2 years, 2 months old) and had him run around to all the people saying 'I BIG BROTHER!'

Due date is 12/21. End of the world?

Awesome. When we told our parents about #2 we put our daughter in a shirt that said "Big Sister" and waited for them to notice. Took a while. Silly old folks.

it may seem like that for a little bit, because you would think 2 should only be twice as hard, not 4 times as hard. You adjust quickly, though, and get used to it.

That is my fuzzy math- and yeah, 3 would be approximately 16-21 times as hard.

That's absolutely true for the first 5 years or so. Beyond that, in my experience, they get much easier. Having two kids that are 8 and 11, doesn't seem like it's much harder than having one at 8.

Once they get in high school/college, I'm sure that's a different story.

Honestly, now that our second is hitting 10 months and we are past the adjustment stage, it is so much easier. We only have a couple of stress moments like dinner time getting home right when they are both hungry, or trying to get out of the house for, well, anything. Other than that, they play well together and we have a system down since about 5-6 months.

Okay, I'll be honest. Once my 8 year old daughter decided not to cry at every single opportunity, a weight was lifted off our shoulders.

I never knew that an 8 year old girl crying because her hair brush didn't make her hair pretty could make a grown man want to turn in to the Hulk.

And that's why I am praying it's a boy. Besides, the things Daniel does makes me crack up, I'd love to have a second boy for him to play with.

I'm glad we have both but up to this point my autistic son has taken less years off of my life than my 'normal' daughter.

Though he may be living with us until we die, so we'll see.

6 months later and we are one monthish away! This went FAST. Just had a small baby shower yesterday, some friends and family hanging out. Got some gift cards and baby stuff.
Daniel knows there's a baby, but obviously doesn't grasp the concept of it all. My wife is showing MUCH more now than when she was pregnant with him, too.

Oh and we still have no names picked out. It's a boy.

    ^ Uh, thanks... I guess?

Anyway, Apocalypse baby hasn't graced us with his presence yet. Little jerk is being stubborn and my wife is getting angry.

Carson Nicholas born at 8:17pm on Christmas Day, 2012. 9 pounds even, 22 inches long.
It's been an eventful week, that's for sure. Time to go to bed. Here's some pics our professional photographer friend took...

Here's a shot with us and my almost 3 year old Daniel as well

And here is Daniel showing you his "angry face"
