Whose rebranded software are they using?

Hi guys
I don't get a chance to post much on the forums but wanted to take a minute and write a brief review and experience I recently had. I believe if a company is doing things right they should be given credit for it.
I spoke to EuroCustoms a few weeks back in regards to their ecu tune. I have been a previous customer with them from a catback exhaust and their fmic kit for my mk4. I wanted to finally give my 06 GTI DSG some more umphh. I know some people will recommend some of the other tuners out there but I wanted to step away from the bandwagon and give something else a shot I mean worse case if I don't like it I'll make the switch to another brand. Plus I liked the price ($425) and the increase (+50hp/+80 torque) over stock and they warranty it. I pondered the idea for a few weeks after being pleased with their previous service and some research I decided to pull the trigger. I was a little hesitant at first to send out my ecu by mail since I wasn't near them but put insurance on it in case I had any issues with it being lost. I overnighted my ecu to them on Tuesday 5/8 I got a call on Wed. 5/9 that they received it ok and they confirmed I didn't have any other upgrades done to my car yet due to tuning to the specs of my car and ensured they will be tuning it that day and overnighting it back to me later that evening. Thursday came along and I received my ecu back as promised!! It was like a kid on xmas morningI installed my ecu back in my car Thursday night and it started right up. I took it for a drive and instantly started to grin
I noticed a gain in horsepower and torque over what it use to be. Everything else is still stock, dv, intake, exhaust, etc. I noticed a much smoother and faster throttle response as well as my turbo spooling faster through out the rpms. It was hard at first to not keep my tires from spinning lol. So far everything is running very smoothly no issues or CEL's. I hope to get it dyno'd over the next couple of weeks when I have the extra time and money. It has been the best $425 to date I've spent so far! I highly recommend their tune and has been a pleasure dealing with.
If your not familiar with them contact info is 832-800-EURO Info@EuroCustomsTuning.com if anyone is interested I'm sure he can answer any questions. Not sure if they are a vendor here but I know they are on GolfMKV.
Cheers![]()

It's their proprietary software. They don't offer any other brands.

Interested in this. Where are they located? What was your total cost with shipping?
$425 is great, but when it costs $75 to overnight the ECU to them, it's hardly worth the savings from APR/GIAC/something else you can get local.
Not bashing it, by any means. If they are/were local, I'd pick that deal up in a heartbeat.

Not sure what software/programs they use probably the typical or standard tools needed to bench flash.
I sent mine to Ryan in PA They have a location in TX as well or did have one. Overnight shipping ran me $50. I know what you mean there's alot of options out there but wanted to go with something different out in the market. My buddy does have APR stage1 with an intake and I did pull on him when we did a small run. I'm still completely stock and still need a few things. I'm not saying ones better than the other though.

That was one of my main concerns going with a brand that is known but as well known as some of the others. I was ensured it was safe and has been tested on several vehicles including several track cars. I was told they have spent several years in the research and development phase before anything was released to the public. I personally haven't had any problems or issues. Hope that helps.

Oh, well that's nice. Stage 1 has an option to turn off the CEL for a catless DP.

So, you went with a relatively illestablished company because going with APR would be hopping on the bandwagon?
Is this the bandwagon you were talking about?

I didn't mean the "bandwagon" comment in anyway insulting and it wasn't aimed at any particular company. My point was people say go with this tune or that tune. I simply wanted to step outside of the box and give something else a try. There's no harm in that. There are several great tuning companies out there on the market I have gone with several in the past on my B5 S4 (Giac) & MK4 (APR). Now that I have my MKV I wanted to explore all of my options.![]()

There's probably a handful of other tuners out there that nobody hears of. This motor has been out for over 6 years now...it's not exactly crazy to think that somebody else couldn't "copy" the results or "reverse engineer" a competitor's tune. If somebody wants to take chances on a tune and take the road less travelled, let them be. But for my investment and risk involved, I'll gladly jump on the "bandwagon".
Basically you may have saved $100, but you had to manually pull your ECU and re-install it, were rendered car-less for 2+ days and, got the same numbers as most other popular tunes...with the potential for a less safe tune and less support. I'm not hating or anything by any means, just the way I look at it. Everything might be just fine, but for $100, why risk it?

I was just simply sharing my experience with a company I have dealt with and have been very pleased with. Thanks for your reply a4. It's good to know a company you were previously with that you stand by and recommend. So far I love it!! I will update progress as time goes on if I have any issues which I hope I don't. I'm happy that's all that matters to me.![]()

Glad you like it op. Either going with full eurodyne, or UM for my next tune.

Wanted to update the thread that my fuel mileage has increased by +2 since the tune! Should pay for it self over a year with all the traveling I do.![]()

Just thought everybody should know that the OP is Ryan fyi....he has multiple forum accounts sells stuff for Eurocustoms and isn't a banner advertiser so pretends that he owns the product and is trying to sell it.
