hi every one.can some one help me please.the other day just before i reach my holiday destination i pulled off hard shoulder very hard in order to be able to keep up with traffic and my speedo has died.a mile down the road my fuel gauge strated showing empty one moment and where it should be next.i get the code p0501.i tried playing with the wires and removing the speed sensor from the gearbox makes no difference.it seems to be showing empty when i brake- accelerate or corner.when car is steady its fine.however speedo doesnt work at all and im stuck away from home with kids.if some one can help me would be great. thanks

Its most likely your speedo sensor that goes in the tranny, I had the exact same issue on my car and that fixed it for me. The gas gauge is going crazy because it believes that you are not moving therfore it reacts very quickly when you turn.
