-cooler
-grill
-Collapsable chair
-a few extra changes of clothes since you'll sweat out at least one during the day
-car wash items including a quick detailer and plenty of micro fiber towels
...and of course BEER

Some suggestions
Stuff to bring for the car (we are driving VAG cars after all):
Zip-ties and vacuum line (for possible leaks)
2 spare coil packs (At least)
1/4" socket set
Torqux Set
Various pliers, screwdrivers, trim panel tool, etc.
Jumper cables
Crazy glue (you'd be surprised)
Fix a flat with an air pump
Spare (make sure it has air)
Jack (low-profile aluminum if you can)
Detailing stuff
Stuff to bring for your body:
Swim gear (tubing, various pools, etc)
Gym shorts/ cutoff shirts
Hoodie/ light jacket
Sunscreen (Or just buy it at the general store in town)
20-Pack of Gatorade and/ or water
Tylenol
Lots of socks
Two pairs of shoes/ sandals
Sunglasses
Stuff for the journey:
Laptop/ iPad
Headphones
