I'm interested in installing a staggered set of wheels on the R. The size I'm looking are 18x8.5 and 18x9.5. My question is what wheel sizes should I run to keep everything within spec of my Haldex unit? Ive read about staggered units having to be within 3 or 4% so nothing breaks down prematurely. Any help is much appreciated.

    You're good to go.

    Just run 225/40s all around.

    What are the offsets?

Please dont beat me up for this question, but I have to ask it. What is the point of going to staggered wheel set-up if the tires arent going to run any wider than the stock tires and smaller tires? I am running 235's alll the way around on stock wheels with no pinching. Why not run 235's up front and 265's in the rear. These tires can be found in the same rpm with in that 3% to 4% overall o.d. to work with the Haldex.
I love the staggered look and this is the reason I ask this question.

    Thanks In Advance,
    Paul

if you want to sretch your tires run 205/40 and 215/40

if you want a little do 215/40 all around

if you want to run different size tires you can run 215/40 and 225/40

if you dont really want any at all then just run 225/40 all around

each one of those will be under the 4% in which you are worried about

I am running 215/40F (8.5) and 225/40R (9.5), but i have quite a bit of stretch in the rear. So doing 215/40 all around would have massive stretch in the rear.

looks like your judgement is different than mine, i run a 225/40 on a 10.5 that i say is a good amount of stretch, 215/40 on a 10 has stretch 215/40 on a 9.5 which i run up front on my car has some too but not alot, a 225/40 on a 9.5 will have some stretch but not alot imo

Just so you get an idea of what 225/40 looks like on a 9.5. I plan on going to a 215/40 ounce these no longer have tread. Up front im running 205/40 on a 8.5.

I'm not sure on offset yet. I originally wanted to run 9.5 on all four corners but after seeing some of the other cars with similar set ups. I don't want my front wheels to stick or poke out and rather not stretch or roll my fenders. I like the flush look but not when they poke. Although I must admit that some of the cars I seen look great that way.

    Also, different tires stretch differently.
My friend has 225/40/18 PS2 on his Miro wheels, and he barely has stretch.
I have 225/40/18 Falkens 512 and I have A good amount of stretch.
Here is a pic of mine, not a very good one, but thats all I got.

Compare my pic to this one. Same wheels, different tires. Look how different the stretch is

If you don't want too much stretch you can always run 225/40/18 for the fronts and 255/35/18 for the rears.
