So the deal is I an inquiring with a seller about these seats and he is being very honest and doesn't know the brand of seat. He thinks recaro but the Vw logo is throwing me off. They are in great shape but brand will affect the price a lot.

Yup. Specifically it's a ripoff of the Recaro Profi SPG or Bride Zeta II (I'd have to see the backrest to tell which). There are tons of these out there, you can buy them on eBay all day with any illegally-reproduced manufacturer logo you want.

I swear "Recaro" has almost reached genericized trademark status with every car guy assuming any un-branded sporty seat MUST be a "Recaro".

Just for the record:
Mazda MX-3 seats were not made by Recaro.
Mazda 323 GTX seats were not made by Recaro.
Mazdaspeed aftermarket seats were not made by Recaro.
Honda Civic/CRX Si seats were not made by Recaro.

Did I miss any of the "I swear I heard these were made by Recaro" seats?

Haha well you are partially right that they are posted up all the time in pa dubbers but not by me, I was inquiring about them. I mean look I have to be fair the seller was not misleading my any means. He said he could not find a tag or anything anywhere and said might be recaro but had no clue

No I knew it wasnt you who owned the seat, because I have also inquired about them... but the kid honestly doesnt seem to know anything about the seat
