    Check your ground on back of head. Sounds like the cluster is grounding thru the ebrake switch because the main ground of cluster, which is in back of head, is not working well. Make sure you also have a good body ground.

    ill definitely check that out tomorrow thanks. didnt thing to check the grounds on the head, only the ones on the body

    It's a wiring jump that could be why you are having cluster problems. It gives power to cluster on switched ignition.

    still is doing this.. i had the whole dash out when i did the swap, and i dont know if theres something im missing because its a 99.5 so is there anything someone might know thats different on mk3.5 or on cabbys from a gti or jetta that would cause this?
