Diablo 2 got me thiiiiis close to failing 6th grade*, so I'm really looking forwards to Diablo 3 getting me fired.

      *Escape Velocity helped, admittedly.

I've been playing barb and monk so far, love both of them. The monk is super badass too!

The first page of the Diablo 3 thread in the Video Game forum has a lot of our battletags, but I'll add mine here too:

The monk is such a tank. Between dexterity and a good shield, you can dodge/block so many attacks it's ridiculous. So much fun to run into a hoard of enemies and just dodge/block like there is no tomorrow.

We already have a thread in the VG section, but I'll bite.

I bought it the night before launch, technically a couple of hours before and downloaded it in time to play.

I haven't fully played it, but so far it is awesome. It is everything I wanted in D3. This might steer some away, but the game feels exactly like D2, but with better graphics. That is it.

      I repeated a grade because of D2.

      Purchased D3 last night.

I'm a little scared...as a recovered game addict it's been sort of like trying to have "a beer". Had some epic toons in D2 and WoW at one time.

Running a Monk at the moment.

It's a lot less addicting than other games. It gets way too hard in the Inferno level to be enjoyable. I played a bunch and then stopped cold turkey because the game just wasn't fun. Before I sold some boots for 2mil gold, I literally couldn't 'afford' to play because my repair costs were 10-20k, and I was easily 1shotted.

I have a buddy that's been playing awhile and he descibed it as a constant gear check.

D2 was like that in a lot of ways too.

This. But at least diablo 2 had PVP and levels damn near impossible to get to(99) I got to 95 on a few chars but after that iI didnt feel the need... Got my d3 character to 60, got to act 4 inferno and its just gear check, theres nothing to keep me interested... I played diablo 2 for 10 years, still jump on from time to time...

but safe to say I grew bored of d3 already, and I'm back with my guildies playing arena in WoW

No PvP in D3 at all? Is 60 the highest level you can get?

I had a few 90+ toons in D2. My hammer pally (lvl 94 I believe) was my fav. by far though...so much fun. I let my account expire though...epic gear and all.
