    Hello tex'

So I've been prepping for a little video project for the family off some old family movies. Good ol Dad moved them from VHS to DVD a while back.

    My problem comes in here:
Adobe Cs5.5 premiere pro doesn't play so nice with .vob files as we all know, what would you all recommend doing with them so I can work with them?

    Thanks in advance

You can't just use the . VOB file. They're a DVD format file, you have to convert them to a usable file type like MOV.

So you would recommend converting to MOV and working in Premiere that way?

Any other advice as I have multiple DVD's to work with on this project....any idea how long it takes to convert?

Well you need to convert the DVD's to a workable video file. The method I suggested is not the only one.

How long it takes is dependent on your computer. Amount of ram, type of video card, etc.
