This was King Hipster. I can't believe he even allowed himself to be seen with Ms. Cuffed Pants. I guess she was being balanced out by "Grunge-Dyed-Hair" on his right.

Strange kofia hat, matching puffy shirt, bleach blond handlebar mustache with mutiple curls on the ends, John Lennon glasses, a kilt and what looked to be dancing shoes.

Spotted in downtown LA, home of the SoCal hipster, just outside Bottega Louie.

    Unbeatable, right?

I still wish I had a picture of the guy in Savannah I saw wearing a burlap sack and Air Jordans.

There is a waiter at our nearby hipster mexican place who had forelocks like an orthodox jew, dirty keds, a floral button down shirt and he was holding up his jean cut offs with braided rope suspenders.

The instagram photos just make it that much better.

Last night I spotted a man that was the definition of hipster. Old khakis, old flannel long sleeve with suspenders, a handlebar mustache that at the end of the curls descended down about a foot, and a hipster hat.

Steam punk is an extreme off-shoot of hipsters right?

I think mainstream media, as in those 2 Broke girls videos, are mistaking fashion and music fads as hipsters. Hipsters don't listen to Coldplay, not Radiohead anymore, and just look flat out weird. They listen to music that none of us on a car forum has ever heard. Come to the coffee shops on my block. I'm show you. I live in Williamsburg in Brooklyn, and not just THEE Williamsburg, but what's considered the "Hidden Gem" of Williamsburg. On Graham ave, the area people are moving because Bedford ave got "too mainstream" when they opened a Subway (the only chain store within a couple square miles.)

OPs pic is a real hipster. Beanies, a few tattoos, boots halfway laced outside the jeans, and Radiohead is just in style.

I used to love Radiohead.... so sad.

It looks like you caught a wandering hick/bro hybrid as well, rare for that area. Good shot.

This is what happens when you discourage bullying. The ugly truth is: some people just NEED to have their asses kicked every once in a while.

OK... so, I'm a 39 year old guy, I'm well beyond caring about fashion trends and scenes. Am I to understand that a handlebar mustache is considered a "hipster thing" now?

If so, that really bums me out because I have a handlebar mustache, but I'm no hipster. I grew out my mustache for Movember last year and just never shaved it off, then my wife thought it would be fun if I gave it a handlebar style.

    Sadly, I have to concur.

Hipsters make me realize that there are limits to tolerance.

What is going on in here?
My legend dates back to the 12th Century you see. My legend is quite old. The 12th Century was a long time ago. It was summer and so cold from the snow because it was actually winter or maybe it was Monday. It could have been a Thursday or possibly a Saturday or was it Tuesday though it could have been Wednesday or a Monday.

At a restraunt in KC we had a waiter that was wearing animal pelts as shoes/leggings + jean shorts and a leather cowboy vest thing.

TBH, I don't really care, if they want to dress like that go right ahead.
All opinions are not equal. Some are a very great deal more robust, sophisticated and well supported in logic and argument than others.

I'm of the same opinion, but i'd like to add the caveat - "just don't expect to be taken seriously by grownups."
