Black 4 door with nav/sr. I've put 700 miles on it in a few days and very happy with it so far. I'm coming from a B8S4 with DSG but I've always had manuals in the past. The DSG is great but I still missed manual so my wife took over my S4 and I got the R. I've put LED tails, Dieselgeek shortshifter and different wheels and tires on and removed Soundaktor so far otherwise I plan to leave it stock for a few thousand miles to make sure there are no gremlins. I have all the parts to go stage 2+ which I plan to do in a month or so.

Sweet. Just go ahead and do stage 2+ if you can. I was stage 1+ before I hit 500 miles. Waiting to receive my APR TBE so I can be stage 2+. The car is amazing at stage 1+ and I couldnt imagine waiting longer then I did, which was about the 2nd day I had the car.

I love the car but the rims look kind of odd. It might be the picture or I just have no sense.

The wheels do look better in person. I'm looking for some VW centercaps, I think that will improve the looks. I've had several black cars in the past with black or anthracite wheels, I'm kind of tired of the all blacked out look so decided to keep some silver bits on this one. My wife says the big chrome VW badge on the front has to go so I will probably plastidip it black.

Do the plastidip. I did mine and wow changes the entire look of the front. Kind of like how the LED tails make the back end. Put those on your list of things to do.

Can you post pics of the LED tails? It looks like you have the tinted ones. I also have a black R and I'm trying to decide between the cherry and tinted LED's.

    Congrats!

Would you have gotten the R if your B8 S4 is a manual?

Probably not, I've had many manuals over the years but my wife can't drive manual so I thought I would try a DSG car. The S4 is a great car and if you must have auto DSG is great but I still missed having a manual. My wife liked my S4 so much she decided to keep it and we traded in her vehicle on the R so now if we travel together and she needs to drive we take the S4. If it will be just me driving we take the R.
