Moral of the story kids, don't stance your car or you will end up like this guy:

That s**t cray, ain't it jay?
    What she order, fish filet?

How does the fire have anything to do with stance?

Your thread title is more flame worthy than stance.

    ....

And you would think an emergency vehicle orange car would have a fire extinguisher.

OK, now that the hideous hood is ruined, remove the rest of the body kit, paint it, cut out the wiring in the engine bay, pull the engine and drop in an LS + wiring harness and call it a day.

looks like those bottles of coolant must have had alcohol or gasoline in it

i think it was intentional to claim insurance reimbursement
probally dissatisfied with engine perfomance, color, or cost of payments

    Bottles of coolant is clue.

Car was running hot and driver thought that meant the coolant was low.

But those Wankel-knowledgeable know that the Wankel has a water coolant system and an oil coolant system.

If the oil cooling system had a leak, it could put hot oil on hot exhaust or hot turbo parts, which could ignite the oil.

While I know you know this, the wankel is burned up along with it's harness, is more expensive, has less power and far less of an aftermarket to mod with.

LS + RX7 = fun! Also, since this car was so ugly and modified before the fire it's a perfect place to start.

Rusty hoods are so yesterday. Now melted hoods with fire damage, that's a whole new trend. At least he got some quality photos of his hot car.

Poor FD I actually like the look of that car. Then again I am biased and think the FD rx7 is one of the most beautiful sports cars ever designed.

I would love to own a FD, but would not really care for the rotary.
Few people understand the psychology of dealing with a highway traffic cop. A normal speeder will panic and immediately pull over to the side. This is wrong. It arouses contempt in the cop heart. Make the bastard chase you. He will follow.

While I really like the RX7 and think it's a handsome car, I can't say that it's that close to the top of the list. That one is hideous, but that's no fault of Mazda.

Aren't you supposed to keep the hood closed in the case of a engine bay fire? I feel like I've read that somewhere.

With giant holes in a slice of fiberglass would it really have made much of a difference, though?
