weird pricing on the the running boards

Has anyone noticed that the running boards typically run around $500 - $600 give or take but the Atlantis dark blue ones and the Pomegranate red ones are only about $130? They look like the exact same running boards. I wonder if those two colors are discontinued or something.

As luck would have it, I have an Atlantis Blue Routan.

Anyone else seen that?

Yes certain colors have blow out prices, there is a banner advertiser here that posted the blowout about a year ago, didn't think it would still be going on.

I would think that for someone without a blue or red Routan, they could get these painted to match and probably come out ahead of the 5-600 price for the OEM painted ones...

I like how the primer ones are the same price as the painted ones too. That's a bit cheeky.

It seems that more than one VW Dealer website has the special. The Ray Fladaboe Dealer in Irvine, CA near me has them for $134.

This site has red and dark blue for $128!!! Instead of $517 for the other colors.

Damn that's a pretty good deal. I wonder how much is it to paint it my van's color (Black)? Or should I just do it myselft (sand, primer, krylon black and clear coat)?
