I have the sound too.... my reseach pointed to either the throwout bearing or flywheel on it's way out, and most recommended doing the whole clutch and flywheel since the labor would be the same.. besides you may not be able to diagnose the issue without getting in there and putting eyes on the stuff......[ i guess you could return anything you did not need instead of finding out you need something you don't have ]
a lot of choices there too with aftermarket and such... fourseasons [link on top of page] has a grip of options ranging from stock replacement to all out upgrades. i would like to do it myself but it may be more than my skillset will allow.
My plan is to go to the single mass flywheel [actually cheaper than oem replacement] and stage 1 upgrade when i save up the duckets... but some have reported driving many miles with the sound without a problem.... mine became much more... noticable... with motor mount upgrades.....
i am sure someone here with more experience can shed some light.
