    Hello Guys,

    I have a Jetta 2006 MK4 2.0 with only 32,000 KMS (Automatic Transmission)

Only on the first engine start of the day in the morning when I am in my parking and I shift from P to D it takes like 2 seconds o so to engage.

For the rest of the day, when I going to lunch or what ever when I shift from P to D it engage inmediately without any delay.

The car drive normally without any issue, I can fill the transmission change gears very smooth, down shift normally, no strange sounds........... Its just that issue every day in the morning.

I took the car to a mechanic in order that he check the Trans Oil Level and it was OK.

Do I need to worry??? Any Advise?

    THX

This is common and not necessarily a problem. Just live with it. (pressure loss to a clutch pack probably)
If it gets so bad that you have to "give it a little gas" to get it to "bump" into gear then you'll need to start budgeting for a trans.
Auto trans fluid change or flush will not make a trans fail. Stop spreading the wives tale/urban myth.

Really? can you just change some part to fix it? I'm having this kind of problem only on cold mornings too.

there are dozens of parts that seal the pressure. Which one you gonna change?

If you were able to Id the part, lets say.. "k1 piston" then you would have to pull the trans, disassemble it, reassemble it correctly, then hope it worked. Point being... live with it as long as you can then budget for a rebuild or replacement.
