Has anyone seen a non sunroof R?

Just curious, thinking about selling a few toys to buy one. I want it without a sunroof...

My gues no dealer would pre order one without the sunroof...

we have a 2 door base on our lot right now actually. im surprised its not sold already.

the ones with no roof are the base models. no kessy, no roof, no navi. other than that, its the same car i believe. someone chime in if im wrong.

Also no dynaudio system, I chose a base 4dr as I don't want any of that other than nag which i prefer the 510 like many others.

It would be nice to be able to order a car with what you actually want on it not what gets put on it...Like in Europe...

So the 510 can be retrofit fairly easy? Is it a touch screen also?

Not super familiar with the new VW stuff.

actually test drove one without nav and sunroof..came back and bought when they got in mine with nav and sunroof. Seems to be a good mix of with and without sun/nav in Cali.

The only thing I wanted on my R was a sunroof and the dyna audio. I can't live with out a sunroof and a nice stereo. Can't wait till I get my stealth box installed. Then my car will almost be perfect.

After having two leaking R32's and TDI's, due to moon roof, I developed a vw moon roof hatred.

    http://forums.vwvortex.com/showthread.php?5503261

Both the current R32 and TDI that I just traded in had the tubes replaced, both withing 2 months?
    of each other...

Plus, no moon, is significant, to me, weight loss than with.

This leaking sunroof is funny, in my 5th VW, I just clean the drain tubes every 6 months. Never a leak.

Yes, I own as CSG 2-dr base and it looks amazing. I really wanted nav and dynaudio, but as soon as I saw it without a sunroof I knew I had to have the base. I can always upgrade the sound system and add nav, taking away a sunroof is a lit bit more of a chore.

    Owning 5 VW's didn't cure your ignorant 2 cents.

    All vw's i've owned that leaked were mk4's Golf's
    That is 100% affected, not 5% or 10%, 100%!!!
Even with clean and clear tubes, and the moronic dealer recall/repairs.

I refused to buy a moon on my 2010 TDI Golf DSG that I just sold, or have one on my 2012 Golf R, but that is just ME.

The 1st leak I had, I was waiting for the "special leak tech" who repaired leaks all day every day,
so he became really good and fast and he seemed to be the one who was doing all the repairs.

Two cars ahead of me? Both Passats. The tubing was poorly designed and they will leak.

I work at Audi, and will peak into our VW shop that isn't many feet away and try and get a look
at the MK5+ cars and see what has changed. I can pull up etka and get a rough picture, but
would like to see the parts in person.

I love moonroofs, but it suck to lose Kessy and other great options because of my bad experiences.
