For sale is a 02a short throw shifter.
it is a stock unit modified to have a shorter throw and not make you feel like you're rowing a boat every time you shift.

the pivot point has been moved up 27mm thus making the travel on the lower side of the rod a lot more than the upper side.

it still has the stock threads intact so any OEM shift knob will work.

all the bushings are in good condition except for the little ball that works on the side to side movement.
you can get that from your current shifter or get a rebuild kit from mjm or 1stvwparts.com

i've seen similar setups go for 150 + a core charge so

here's a little sketch with the stock vs the modified dimensions.
difference in throw is 50.421 mm or about 2 inches front to back.
