The FAQ/DIY is a good place to start but I'll help you out.

If you must get a BOV, either get a genuine HKS SSQ from a reputable vendor like ECS Tuning or a hybrid valve that vents part and recirculates the rest.

If you go DV route, Forge is a good brand. I've heard a lot of good things about the Forge 007 valve or you could get the HKS SSQ and the recirc kit so you'll have your choice

Unfortunately, you have to pay to play. You could always go to an Audi dealer and get the stock 225hp TT DV, it's more durable than the stock 180hp version. But, I have this feeling that you are looking for some sound out of this.

Get a short ram intake ~$30 on ebay or get a filter and clamp it to the MAF and you will hear the stock DV

Im running the 008, and it sounds nice. it still makes the let off noise it just isn't as noticeable/obnoxious. I ran the hks ssqv for over a year and it comes with the insert that is very noticeable and obnoxious so if thats the route your goin for. but both valves are well known and good quality. Ps. diverters are generally cheaper.

I've had an HKS SSQ on my car for 9 years! Never had a problem with it. I have the recirc kit so I can change it up now and then. But, for the most part I leave it vented. I put one on my wifes beetle too, its an auto, but she has fun with it

a good diverter valve like the apr or forge 007 i think sound better than a bov. they have more of a long wooosh sound than a quick sppsshhh.

Forge Splitter valve cranked pretty much all the way closed personally, that plus my self made CAI sounds pretty darn good.

I want to ask when you need an uprated DV? Stage 2 tune? I understand the stock on does the job even with a stage 1 tune. Forge 008 or APR seem to be the best ones out there from what I can tell.

Wher did you get it for $70? Everywhere I see is around $150
I'm not cool enough to have a clever signature.
