The end of the month i'll be moving to las vegas henderson area from washington, New job better money had to move lol. Was wondering where the local gtg, Shops, and what not.

Also any good wrecking yard around my area that would have a whole a/c assembly. In washington i didn't really need it so i just deleted it..... Now i'm regreting it lol.

I guess i might as well whore a picture of the car..... Just a run of the mill Black 98 gti vr6 DE Leftover. It's been my daily for the last 2 years so i've kept it pretty stock except the Engine....
TT CHIP, TT plug wires, HR Springs, Ghetto intake "Came on the car it works so i just left it alone", Suitcase Delete, SAI pump delete, Euro switch....

What part of washington are you coming from? I probably have at least some of the a/c stuff you need.

Is it really that close? It always seemed like it took forever to get to Chehalis. Maybe I'm thinking Centralia. They all just seem to blend together into that I-5 corridor between Tacompton and Portland.

I have an A/C compressor, possibly a condenser, and probably both of the soft lines. I don't know if I have a drier and the hard line to the bottom of the condenser, but you should replace the drier anyway.

The north pic-a-part at lamb and the 95 is easily the best in town but there are several other small yards that are worth visiting every few months.

Very few of us drink beer. We're mostly Mormon. Some of us don't even drive VW's. Not me, though- I'm a beer swilling, Corrado driving, Christian moderator. Only one in these parts. I also sell houses.

Oh that is so funny...my wife grew up in Centralia. We were up there last summer for her cousin Brian's wedding. Anyways, welcome to town. There are a few GTGs, mostly they're not all set in stone. There's one at a Dunkin Donuts in Henderson by the auto mall on Sundays at noon. There's another one on Sunday evenings at 7PM at the In-N-Out on Tropicana and the I15 by the strip. Then there are occasional GTGs from the local Audizine guys. There are plenty of opportunities to get plugged in and meet up with the local crowd.

You just might. Not sure how old you are, but she's 30 now. Her grandparents used to own the rollerdrome in town, and her dad built a lot of the houses in the surrounding area. Family name is Adams. Like I said, her cousin Brian just got married last August to a girl named Sarah. Alot of her family still lives up there although her parents have moved to Lake Tahoe.

That's pretty funny! Granted, there are a lot of Mormons, but for every Mormon there are probably 10 "jack Mormons" and I'd bet that 8 of those 10 have a beer in their hand. There are also a lot of non-Mormons around too (and plenty of beer).

      Have Fun!

      Don

P.S. I'm not Mormon - but as I understand it, Mormons consider themselves "Christians" also.

Doesn't surprise me. They moved from Washington in 2001. They used to own that big house on top of Curtis Hill in Adna before they left. Actually her dad built that house.

Sweet thanks man. i'll have to check out that yard pick up some few odd and ends for my car.
So to the mk3 owners... With that kind of heat what do you guys use to hold the side moldings on last summer up here i used 3m tape but it looks like it's already gunna need to be redone on one of them. Is there anything special any of you use?

You can try 3M Mounting tape. Readily available at any hardware store and it holds better then just plain double sided tape. I used it to mount a euro plate on my Passat and it stuck like crazy. Almost destroyed my plate when I took it off. Should work pretty good for the moldings.

Nope. But most locals find ways to get pool keys to different casinos, or have friends that work at them.

M pool is free, hard rock is free, red rock is free, Most of the main ones are free on the weekdays, and if not just walk in like you own the place and no one usually says anything. The worst they can do is not let you in, but most of the time you can talk your way in or hand them a 20.

or u can always wait til he weekend when i usually have pool parties.

Red Rock main pool isn't free, the small Cabana pool is free Friday-Sunday. Hard to get in unless you have a room key or a VIP card.
