have you tried ... like... contacting a local bicycle shop?
That is a very usual bicycle.. and surely an old bicycle shop owner would have an idea on where find them.

Backstory: When I was growing up my grandma purchased a beach cruiser that was 2 wheel drive. It had a gear on the back wheel and a tube that ran up to the front wheel, which also had a gear in place. When the back wheel was turned it also spun the front wheel.
I went away to college for a couple years and asked that it be kept around. When I moved back I had found that the bike was donated to charity and there was no paperwork on it or anything.
I am just trying to find who made these bikes so that maybe I can pick up another one. It was a greyish color with teal and pink splatter paint all over it(so it wasn't the prettiest thing out there) but the drive system on it was pretty neat. Made riding on flat lands really easy but hills were a bit of a pain.
any help pointing me in the right direction would be much appreciated.
thanks in advance

I have tried that. they either don't know or direct me to http://christinibicycles.com/ which deal more with mountain bikes. Contacted them directly and they gave me a generic company history response that dodged the question

You're certain it wasn't the Jeep Rubicon MTB?

Edit: turns out that's just a re-badging of the Christini. Looks like they never really caught on.

A hundred dollars on your hair, fifty on your nails, fifty on make-up, two hundred dollars for an outfit. You ladies spend four hundred dollars to bring home a thug that ain't worth ten cents!

there are a number of companies that have tried making 2WD bikes over the years, but i am having trouble understanding what you are describing. where exactly does this tube run on the bike? it would have to follow the front fork in order for the bike to be able to steer. how did this tube work? what did it do? was it housing a chain?

perhaps it was a cruiser version of the Legacy 2 wheel drive bike?

this is is only not in beach cruiser form...the tube had a gear on either end of a cable. Rear gear put the front into motion.
that looks like the same system that was used on it. I'll see if i can dig up some info on the company or contact them..
thanks!
