On a 1.8, my spool was about on par with his, but you're right. No reason a 60lb/min turbo can only do 345whp. Already sent the rod through the block at 5k. Cars was much faster than my buddys car, 340whp 400wtq saab.

I got a 2.1 block ready to go to the shop, and illl be ordering cams and 3658 springs here soon.

No cosmetic repair to the bay??? Disappointed...gonna put all that time in might as well make it look clean. Other than that it looks like its going great for you. Wish I had more time for mine all these build threads make me jealous

Im away from the shop from Aug through may. Once I get back, I'll work more. I picked up an Eaton m62 to help get the spool up faster.

Of course no cosmetic updates. Pretty bays are for show cars. I don't build show cars.

nice job on the fab work,on the bed liner.
however that damage on the right apron looked minimal and most likely could have been pulled out at a body shop in an hour.

    keep up the solid work,

More info on the blower please; is that for a twincharged setup?

    Is the car running yet?

    Is it may yet?

Yes, I plan on twin charging. Its an Eaton m62 from a supercoupe. I will run post sc method injection and the fmic between the turbo and supercharger.

I plan on working on the bracket/intake manifold next week.

So how much contact is the pulley going to have with the belt?

Contact around the circumference of the pulley? As much as I can get.

Yeah I'm no expert but I think I seen somewhere before that you generally need something like 270 degree's of belt contact with the pulley, anything less and slippage is knocking on your door.

i don't understand why you tried to start and move the car....know it was burning up under the hood.

If you just eyeball where the tensioner mounts in that picture, it looks like it'll be right around the 270 degree mark. If I cut the bellmouths down some, I could probably fit the SC in front of runners, but don't like how that would favor the #2 runner. At least with a bottom-feed, there should be a little better air distribution.

Worse comes to worse, there's always a cogged serp-belt option.

I wasn't aware it was on fire at the time, but I knew we needed just a little umph to get over the second hill (which the car got stuck on). I knew the motor was already trashed, so starting it up wasn't going to hurt anything.
