Thread: airlift font bags...

    i need to change on of the bags airlift xl on my car 03 golf gti in the front i took it out easy but how does on put it back on is there a trick to get the back on the strut?

    i see there is a snap ring does the ring go inside of the bag or on the strut when i am putting it all back together ?

    Just requires a little technique. Place the u shaped spacer in the groove, lube up the top of teh strut body well with wheel bearing grease, carefully slide teh bag onto the rod.

    I then put the strut on the ground and compress the bag and the strut, kinda putting some body weight on it and wiggling the bag a bit to get the o ring on the bottom started. It can sometimes take a bit of force, but it will pop on and the u clip will keep it from going too far. Then line up the bolt holes and screw in the bolts.

    If the replacement kit has a snap ring that is chrome, you don't use it on the Slam struts.

    i did it the same way u explained it worked well all set thank you but now i have a problem with a vair check valve
