OK so after my other computer died and taking with it a lot of info i had saved. I have started down the ms road i didn't plan on doing this but plans change all the time.

what i know is its MS2 v3 it was set up for wasted spark and batch injection. it has a relay board. It was using MS extra 1.0.2. It was in a mk2 running with a awm 1.8t. from what i got from the PO it came from diyauto tune. I had it hooked up to to a battery this week and tuner studio loaded in the new laptop and nothing.

there is 3 LED's on the end of the ecu should they light up? I hear the relays clicking when power is applied all the fuses are good and the tuner studio said i was not connected

I'm looking for advice also i need some wiring diagrams, plus a if anyone has a a solid tune that would be great

What cable are you using, serial or serial w/ usb adaptor? Some usb adaptors have comm's issues, straight serial is best, or get it comm with a known working unit.

And you should be able to find diagrams all over the place, but start at DIY.

You'll either have to find a known working MS unit to check your cable or someone else with known working comm's to check your MS unit, then figure out your comm's.

1st: Did you start a new tuner studio project and have it try to autodetect your MS?

2nd: Once you do manage a connection, UPDATE THE FIRMWARE!!!!!! MS2/Extra v1.02 is ancient and no longer supported on the MS Forums. Lots and lots and lots of improvements and bug fixes since then.

3rd: If TS can't or won't autodetect your firmware, or asks for an ini, try updating the firmware first. To do that you'll need to know what com port the cable is using. Device Manager in windows can show you that.
