Was looking into some new Touaregs and came across this. Is this the appropriate value for a barely used Touareg?

Yeah, there is deffinitely something up with that one as far as the price and so very low miles. Unless it was in an area where Hybrids just don't sell. I would be a little suspicious of that one.

CarFax shows it as a one owner lease with less than 2000 miles actual, no accidents, too few miles for service records. Utah dealer bought it at auction. So once might assume original owner either didn't like what he leased - or died. Looks like a good deal to me.

I would be more worried about it being a new Ebay member selling a car from a dealership I never heard of and I lived in UT for 11 yrs before moving back to PA. He has 0 feedback and trying to sell an expensive vehical. Up to you especially if you could maybe go there to check it out or have another member do it for you. I would have for you if I was still living there, but obviously can't now.![]()

Ok, but my Touareg is sturdy as hell. Pretty sure it's representative of the entire production run. I wouldn't let 1200 miles of "demo" driving deter me from a price like that. Besides, there's a helluva lotta factory warranty left.

Look at the vendor's web site. They have an inventory of nine high-end imports, and pictures show a simple store front, maybe in a warehouse complex or office park. Seems legit, though I'd be more comfortable getting someone in that town to pay a visit. The price is very good, and I wouldn't shy away simply because the car is a press demo unit.
